About Us
Home Tailor has been servicing Baltimore since 2015 and specializes in bathroom and basement remodels. Our service area includes Baltimore City, Baltimore County, and parts of Howard County.

I’ve been working in construction for over 20 years and manage all of our projects.
When you book a site visit, you will get to meet the person who will performing the work and managing other trades. I believe it is best to meet directly with your installer instead of a sales rep so I can answer technical questions, create a clear scope of work and provide you with a precise price quote.
One of the biggest reasons for starting my own company is my enjoyment of taking something old, broken, outdated and giving it new life. I find satisfaction in the working closely with homeowners so they can fully enjoy the finished project.
In my spare time, I like to cook and spend time outdoors. I feel the most calm when I’m by the water.

Home Tailor (MHIC#164978) is a licensed, bonded, and insured General Contractor under the Maryland Home Improvement Commission.
Our license also allows us to pull building permits. As a licensee, we are required to report to the Commission and are held accountable to the Guaranty Fund. Through the Fund, a homeowner can be compensated if a dispute arises with the contractor.

Home Tailor is a Lead-Safe Certified Firm through the EPA. As a certified firm, we are certified to conduct lead-based paint renovation, repair, and painting activities.
If your home was built before 1978, you may have lead materials in your home. With our training and Lead-Safe work practices, we provide a safe renovation environment and a beautifully finished remodel.

It takes 7-10 days from the initial site visit. For smaller projects, you’ll receive your comprehensive quote via email. For larger renovations, we’ll also schedule Price Quote Presentation to review the quote, our process and make revisions.

Remodels are not a one-size-fits-all. Full bathroom and basement remodels take 4-5 weeks. Partial baths and partial kitchens can take 2-3 weeks. Your quote will include a Target Completion Date so you’ll know how long your remodel will take to complete.

Absolutely! If you are feeling overwhelmed with all of the options, you can communicate your style and we will help you find fixtures that will fit your desired aesthetic.
Fixtures are not included in the quote and will be purchased separately by the homeowner.
We conduct 1-2 preconstruction meetings, depending on the complexity of your project, where we discuss all of specs, quantities and share our distributor contacts.

Yes! Most of our customers live in their home during their renovation. We have two preconstruction meetings with you before we begin to ensure your comfort during the remodel. A few things we consider are: how we will access your home, what areas we will be able to utilize, who is home and when, how pets will be accommodated, and any house rules you want us to follow. We also offer you some ideas on how to live without a kitchen or bath!

We take pride in having open and consistent communication with our customers throughout the entire renovation process. At all times during your project, your main point of contact is Kenny, Owner & Operator. In addition to this availability, we have multiple scheduled walk throughs (for full renovations) to ensure a smooth and stress-free process.

No, we do not. Most of our clients use home equity lines of credit to fund their projects.

Our contracts require 1/3 down of the total price at the time of signing.
For smaller jobs, the remaining 2/3 are due upon job completion.
For larger projects that span many weeks, there is a 4-pay draw schedule listed on the contract. Payments are made to sync with construction walk throughs.
All of our invoicing and payments are completed electronically
