Contemporary Kitchen in Mt. Washington
Maximizing space in this small kitchen began with removing a 17 foot wall between the kitchen and dining room. The use of white shaker cabinets and black granite countertops creates a sleek, sophisticated look that perfectly compliments the slate finish appliances and porcelain tile floor. By moving the sink to the peninsula, counter space is maximized on the opposite wall and better workflow is created. Custom corner shelves and a wall mounted hood add to the visual openness of this beautiful space.
Modern Bathroom in Medfield
With a frameless glass shower door and a sleek glass vanity top, this modern bathroom is cutting edge. The shower features a gray, Quartzite accent wall, Dolomite Marble throughout and a generous recessed soap dish. We were able to bring more light and space to this bathroom by removing the heavy wainscot and removing a linen closet. We installed a luxurious, marble backsplash behind the sink, creating a stunning visual effect with a hovering glass vanity top, full of fluid movement.
Bathroom Makeover in Bowie
A mosaic tile pattern runs across this redesigned shower at eye-level, making it one of the most eye-catching elements of this makeover. Two recessed soap dishes were built into the shower to make more space for shampoos & soaps. The shower walls and floors were tiled with a calming subtle gray color scheme. The floor tiles mimic a hardwood timber ash and we replaced their outdated wooden cabinets with a gray vanity. The marble countertop adds to this serene aesthetic.
Turn of the Century Makeover in Roland Park
An original clawfoot tub that has been reglazed along with a chrome faucet is the centerpiece of this traditional bathroom makeover. The 54” beaded wainscot is in keeping with the turn of the century charm, while also providing additional protection around the tub. Sconce lighting and a marble vanity top add to the historic look. The pattern on the new ceramic tile floor is the perfect accent to the colors of the tub and the dramatic blue on the walls.
Functional Kitchen/Dining Room Combo in Lauraville
The main highlight from this L-shaped kitchen has to be the White Shaker cabinets. Accented by their charming red knobs, they give this kitchen a welcoming personality while granting plenty of functional storage space. The abundant granite countertops compliment the wood-look laminate floors and both give off a shine, from the ambient window lighting and the recessed lights overhead. We opened up the space by removing a 9 foot load-bearing wall to create kitchen and dining room combo. This gave more space to extend cabinets and incorporate a mobile island, giving the homeowners options to explore flexible layouts for any occasion. The sink, stove, and fridge are in close proximity, allowing an easygoing flow for the kitchen work triangle. We also installed a built-in wall pantry adjacent to the fridge which serves as a discrete space-saver.
Monochromatic Kitchen in Medfield
This kitchen went through a dramatic transformation. We took down two major walls to open up the first level of this home, merging the kitchen, dining room, and living room into one continuous space. A curving bar with recessed lighting hints at where one of the walls once stood and acts as a casual dining spot as well as a distinct indicator for where the kitchen begins. We swapped out wooden cabinets for white cabinets with elongated handles and replaced older appliances with stainless steel models. A mosaic glass tile pattern travels along the wall behind the stove’s hood and is also found along the kitchen backsplash. The granite countertop and the newly tiled floor provide two different textured planes to this monochromatic theme.
Swanky Kitchen in Rodgers Forge
By removing a wall, we were able to create an open space in our client’s home. Now the kitchen and dining room are connected by a custom island with quartz countertops. This homeowner personally selected designer light fixtures for their space. We made sure to preserve the curved archway to match the existing plaster work in the home. The floor-to-ceiling pantry is situated in the corner between both curved archways, connecting the kitchen and dining room. We installed new appliances and moved the position of the fridge to free up more space. The porcelain tile on the floor is bordered with a custom oak sill which highlights the custom cut of the island.
Stunning Kitchen Renovation in Baltimore
After inheriting this family home, the owners decided it was time for an upgrade. You wouldn’t know from the photos that there hadn’t been any updates in over twenty years. We removed a 17ft wall that ran between the kitchen and the dining room and placed a center island with a ceiling-mounted hood. Removing the wall created plenty of natural lighting and allowed for a balanced display of recessed lights throughout the area. We relocated appliances to produce a more functional space and embraced the L-shaped design with gray cabinetry. White quartz counters run along the surface providing ample room for preparing meals. There are hints of subtle texture present in the ridges of the farmhouse sink, the beveled subway tile backsplash and the marbled swirls of the porcelain tile floor.
Charming Blue Redo in Roland Park
Marine blue walls with 42” beaded wainscot bring brightness to this small space, while a weathered vanity provides beauty and function. New wall sconces add light and also compliment the sink fixtures. Large, marble-patterned tile set at an angle create unique visual interest and at the same time, make the room look larger.
Tuscan Master Bath in Bowie
The ivory ceramic tiles generate so much warmth and visual space in this master bathroom. We added a custom shower bench, two recessed soap dishes and a frameless shower glass door that exudes an invitation. This master bath boasts a wainscot with a mosaic border to highlight the upgraded vanity. By removing the wall-length mirror, the vanity space is more personalized with its own mirror and lighting. A designer bronze showerhead and faucets are the final touches to this Tuscan spa.
Tuscan Backsplash & Powder Room in Bowie
This Tuscan-inspired kitchen is full of rich, earthy tones, from the cherry wood cabinets to the golden, granite island. The Italian-made porcelain backsplash features small a recurring rhombus pattern, creating subtle accent marks that highlight the existing kitchen. The homeowner continued this theme into the powder room by adding an ivory wainscot with custom border and complimentary floor tiles.
